Launch of Africa’s Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook (MEO) Report, 2023

The African Development Bank Group will launch the first edition of Africa’s Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook (MEO)- the Bank Group’s new biannual publication on 19 January 2023 at 10 am UTC.
Africa’s Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook will be released in the first and third quarters of each year. The publication will offer policymakers, global investors, researchers, and other development partners with an up-to-date evidence-based assessment of the continent’s recent macroeconomic performance and short-to-medium-term outlook amid dynamic global economic developments.
The new report will feature forecasts and analysis from the surveillance of regional and global macroeconomic developments.
This debut edition of the Macroeconomic Performance and Outlook recognizes the difficult challenges that African economies face in navigating the maze of multiple overlapping global risks. The report thus advocates for bold policy actions at national, regional, and global scales to help African economies mitigate the compounding risks.
